healthier lives. The National Cancer Institute research shows that as much as 33% of cancer risk may be
related to diet. In this class, you will learn about the right food choices that can help reduce the risk of
developing cancer as well as prevent a recurrence.
Avoiding meat, dairy, and fatty foods is key to cancer prevention and survival, as dietary fat can impair the immune system and increase hormone production linked to breast and prostate cancers. Fiber removes toxins and excess compounds that may increase cancer risk. It's vital for immune function and waste elimination. A diet rich in fiber from plant foods is crucial for cancer prevention and overall health. In this class, enjoy a fiber-rich meal aiming for 40 grams of fiber daily.
Consuming dairy triggers biological changes, including increased insulin-like growth factor 1 (IGF-1), which can promote breast and prostate cancer cell growth. This class covers the benefits of avoiding dairy and explores nutrient-rich alternatives.
Antioxidants in fruits and vegetables help prevent cancer by combating free-radical damage. This class discusses nutrient-rich foods that boost immunity and reduce cancer risk. Studies show that vegetarians have significantly higher natural killer cell activity, essential for destroying cancer cells. Enjoy a colorful, immune-boosting diet.
